Across Bengal, countless talented individuals dream of making it big in cinema—but often, they lack the platform and access to the right opportunities. Tollywood e Vacancy is here to change that. This Pan-Bengal star hunt is not just a competition—it’s a mission to bridge the gap between untapped talent and leading production houses of Kolkata.
Designed to reach deep into the districts of West Bengal, this talent hunt invites aspiring actors to audition online and also participate in on-ground auditions in Siliguri, Durgapur, and Chandanagar. It’s a golden stage for those who dream, eat, and breathe cinema, yet have never had the chance to stand before the camera under the right guidance.
The journey culminates in a grand finale on 5th July at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, where the winners will earn a lifetime opportunity to act in upcoming films produced by top Bengali production houses. In addition, all grand finalists will undergo a professional 5-day acting workshop—absolutely free—conducted by industry experts to help shape raw potential into screen-ready talent.
Complementing this initiative is the Bangla Chalachhitra Samman—an evening dedicated to honouring the icons of Bengali cinema. This prestigious recognition celebrates the visionary filmmakers, legendary actors, and creative minds who have made indelible contributions to the Bengali film industry.

Pavel is an Indian film director and screenplay writer who primarily works in Bengali-language films. He made his debut with the film Babar Naam Gandhiji, which was followed by Rosogolla.

Vijay Verma is the managing Director of “Post House Studio”, Mumbai and UK. He’s also a music director, singer, author, producer and director
Sourav chakraborty
Sourav Chakraborty is a well-known actor in the Tollywood industry, widely recognized for his role as Raja in the popular Bengali television series Raja & Gaja. With a strong presence in both Bengali television and cinema, he has also appeared in several notable projects across the Tollywood and Bollywood industries, showcasing his versatility and talent as a performer.
Firdausul Hasan
Firdausul Hasan is a film producer from Kolkata. His production house Friends Communication won best feature film in Bengali in the 65th National Awards for his film “Mayurakshi”. Firdausul Hasan is the current president of Film Federation of India.
Tuhinaa Pandey
Tuhinaa Pandey is an engineering graduate and a meritorious student of institute of engineers, Jadavpur university & south point high school, her passion to be fashionable took her to the world of modelling and fashion industry, at the age of 19. She had the opportunity to work with renowned organizations like ANZ Grindlays, George Telegraph Film & Television Insititute, IIHM, and has her own platform "Grooming Destination". She was also Mrs. India, Timeless Beauty, 2019.
Payel Mukherjee
Payel Mukherjee is a Bengali film actress and a young entrepreneur whose range of work boasts of films from Bollywood (Hindi films) to the South Indian film Industries (Telugu & Malayalam) to Bengali film industry (The film industries of West Bengal & Bangladesh).
